History and Design
- Origin: Named after August Helleberg, the legendary chief tubist of the John Philip Sousa Band, who collaborated with C.G. Conn to design a mouthpiece capable of filling massive concert halls without amplification.
- Shape: Features a distinctive deep funnel-style cup with a signature distinct flat rim profile and an interior "Helleberg" step or drop just inside the rim edge.
- Material: Machine-lathed from high-grade brass and typically finished with a polished silver-plated or optional gold-plated coating.
